DJ Ruth Flowers Hits American Scene
Five months ago, I blogged about a 69 year old British grandmother, Ruth Flowers, who was becoming one of the most sought-after DJs in Europe, spending her summer playing in the best clubs in Paris and Cannes.
Well, Mamy Rock, as she’s calling herself now, is finally making the same big waves in the US. On November 5th, her 2010 world tour took her to Los Angeles’ I Love Electro Club.
Click here to see a new BBC interview with Flowers, or, here to visit her new website where you can buy her single, “I’m Still Rocking.”
Highlights from BBC’s interview:
Flowers: I don’t think anyone should retire if they’re enjoying their work and know what they’re doing.
20-ish Latino Concert-goer: Old lady knows how to get down.
