Hallelujah Chorus Flashmob Redux
This story has a lot in common with a previous post about a flashmob that appeared in a mall food court to sing a rendition of Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” However, with the aid of social networking, this Sacramento-based flashmob accrued enough participants to cause California’s Roseville Galleria mall to shake due to the volume, sparking the evacuation of the entire complex. 5000 people turned up to sing in the mall’s food court. Fire and safety officials politely directed the singers to exit the building as they continued to sing and the performance concluded in parking lot. After officials concluded the building had suffered no permanent structural damage, people were allowed back inside.
