Cazwell – I seen Beyoncé at Burger King
It’s guilty pleasure Friday here at the avantpost HQ. I discovered rapper/dj Cazwell first through his newest club track, Get My Money Back, which isn’t necessarily SFW unless you work in a club, animal–themed tanning salon, or monkey–run hotdog stand (just have to watch).
Somehow, similarly to Bed Intruder, I seen Beyoncé at Burger King is catchy. The vocals remind me of Marshall Mathers while the video screams trashy–chic, old–school hip–hop aesthetic. Jonny Makeup is the featured sideman, who Wikipedia says is a “socialite, musician, and internet personality” serving as “apprentice” to the CEO of American Apparel.
Lastly, the video is helped by Cazwell’s photogenically fit physique and piercing blue eyes albeit in trashy–chic wifebeaters. My favorite part is Cazwell’s delivery in “And she was eatin’/She was what?/She was eatin’/Oh.” Enjoy.
